When performed properly, preventive maintenance not only increases the life of your air-conditioning system; it also improves the unit efficiency, helps to prevent costly repairs and dramatically reduces energy costs.
As part of our tune-up and preventive maintenance program, we offer a 30 point inspection to help you in identifying what can be done to maximize your energy savings.
Check refrigerant, adjust as needed (up to 1 lb added at no extra charge)
Check system for leaks (dye injection if needed; requires return trip; Add $35.00)
Check the system for moisture
Check for corrosion
Check air-flow path
Check outdoor coil, straighten fins as needed
Inspect indoor coil, straighten fins as needed
Check exposed duct work for air leaks
Check and clean condensate pan and drain line
Check blower for proper operation
Check compressor power leads are securely fastened
Check compressor starting contactor
Measure compressor current draw
Check compressor's run capacitor underload
If present, check compressor's start capacitor underload. If no start capacitor is present, determine if capacitor is needed.
Check for proper operation of the compressor
Check condenser fans run capacitor under load
Check blower's run capacitor underload
Check operation of resistance heaters
Check if unit is level and properly mounted
Check if unit is properly grounded
Check operation of crankcase heater
Cycle the unit and test for proper operation
Low-pressure safety cut-off switch
High-pressure safety cut-off switch
Drain-pan safety cut-off switch
Check thermostat
Ensure job-site is left as clean and neat
Suggest performance or efficiency improvements
Complete tune-up report to our client, signed by our EPA/ASE Certified Technician
